ECQ FUN ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS: EASTER EGG DECORATING

It’s that time of year! Although we are on our ECQ, kids should still be able to have fun!

The Easter Bunny is about to make his rounds. Have you decorated your Easter eggs already?

The whole family will enjoy with these easy steps to Easter Egg decorating.

Prepare Easter egg dye. It only takes a few minutes and a few of ingredients.

Here’s how:

1. Mix 1 teaspoon vinegar with 1/4 teaspoon of food color. 2. Pour the mixture into 3/4 of a cup of water. 3. Use a different cup for each dye, and be sure there is enough water in the cup to cover an entire egg.

Use tongs, a spoon, or your hands to gently submerge the eggs into the dye.

Note: the longer you leave an egg in the dye, the deeper the colour will get.

Allow eggs to dry completely (you can use a cake rack or a carton).

After the eggs have dried, repeat the same process with another colour, if desired. Again, allow eggs to dry completely. And finally you can decorate them!
