Butter garlic shrimps is one of our favorite dishes when we eat at Dampa restaurants. We have been missing it terribly since restaurants are now closed so we decided to make it at home.
Fortunately, despite the lockdown, some vendors have opted to sell their products online (Online palengke/pabili service) so I didn’t have to be exposed to the outside world😂. You can give this a try too so you can stay safe at home. For those in Marikina area, I can vouch for Nanay Lina. She is very kind and approachable and her seafood products are really very fresh and with good quality! Her stall is located at the Vigavino Market in Concepcion Uno.
Here is her facebook page:
For those outside Marikina, I’m pretty sure you have online sellers available too!
Back to our dish:
This dish is very rich and flavorful and the sauce is really good with white rice!
Here’s how you can make it:
Start by cleaning the shrimp. Wash it well and cut the antennae. Devein each piece and wash again until clean. Here is a link as to how to devein shrimp.
The garlic butter sauce is the first thing to make when cooking the dish.
